Summer break may be coming to an end, but the warm weather will certainly stick around for a while longer. Although our end-of-summer vacations, cookouts, and get-togethers are piling on, there are tons of opportunities to sport a super cute, casual summer outfit! Here is an example of an easy—yet totally stylish—ensemble perfect for many occasions.
Summer is an absolutely perfect time for flowy pieces, so, of course, I went with this breezy navy blue top (similar) from Urban Outfitters. Although navy certainly is a darker color, it is very nautical, which is perfect for the warmer months. Additionally, as it is a neutral, this top can easily be worn year-round if paired with seasonally appropriate pieces from a puffy vest and scarf in the fall to bright shorts in the spring! Here, though, I chose these black and white printed shorts (similar) from Target. Black and white is such a classic and timeless summer trend, and these shorts bring a fun and textured twist to the ensemble! These shorts are loose fitting with an elastic waist, so they are wonderfully comfortable and stylish. Both of these pieces are totally versatile in the sense that they can either be dressed up or down with a simple switch of the shoes or jewelry, so don’t be shy to experiment!
I am a huge sucker for sandals, so I slipped on these bright sandals that are also from Target to add a summery pop of color to the ensemble. The band on these shoes is an electric orangey-pink, so I absolutely love pairing these sandals with an otherwise dark or neutral outfit. They are also extremely comfortable, so walking while on a shopping spree or around the boardwalk is a breeze!
Large bags and totes are summer must-haves because you can easily carry all of your summer necessities, from sunglasses to sunscreen to a book to read poolside. With that being said, I simply had to carry a large handbag (similar) by Tory Burch with this outfit.
I decided to go very minimal with the jewelry with this particular ensemble, so I slipped this bronze and gold bracelet from Francesca’s on my wrist. I also wore large pearl earrings, as they are timeless and contribute to the summery, nautical feel of the navy top.
This summery outfit is totally perfect for cookouts, shopping sprees, sightseeing with friends and family, and more. Also, you can easily dress these different pieces up or down according to the occasion, and you have a cute, comfortable summer ensemble!
